一昨年、女性でも使いやすい華やかなオープンカー、フェラーリ・カリフォルニアに買い替えました。
お二人ともイタリア人の建築家、アルド・ロッシの建築事務所出身で、横堀さんたちのスタイルも、エレガントで華やかなイタリア・テイスト。
特にインテリアを担当しているコマタさんは、イタリア車の持つ官能的な世界を知らないと、クライアントに良い提案できないと常々感じていそうです。

In the heart of Tokyo’s premier luxury district, Samsonite Black Label, the pinnacle line of the storied luggage house, has unveiled its largest flagship store in Asia. This is not merely a retail space; it is a meticulously choreographed hub where a century of travel history meets the delicate, layered aesthetics of Japanese heritage.
The facade establishes a tone of modern reverence, featuring columns that reinterpret traditional shoji latticeworkthrough a contemporary perspective, illuminated to accentuate the soft, fibrous texture of Japanese paper. At the entrance, the iconic Samsonite swirl is presented with the dignity of a Japanese family crest (kamon), signifying a deep respect for the brand’s new home.
Inside, the store transforms into a “Japanese Zen Garden” of materiality and light. A conical ceiling of bent metalwork hovers above an installation that fuses industrial precision with natural beauty. Suspended natural wood and washi paper”leaves” move gently in the air, while RGB lighting subtly transitions to evoke the passage of time. By harmonizing artificial elements with authentic greenery, the flagship embodies a philosophy of balance, creating an immersive sanctuary for the modern traveler.

JIA Golden Cubes Awardsの特別賞を受賞しました！
この賞は18歳以下の子どもを対象とした建築・まちづくりの教育活動に対する顕彰です。
今日は一日かけてプレゼンと公開審査が行われました。残念ながら最優秀賞を逃しましたが、日本各地の活動団体によるプレゼンを聞き、とても参考になりました。
これからも東京建築アクセスポイントで親子や子どもを対象にした教育プログラムを改良・拡充していきたいと思います！

【DFA香港青年設計才俊獎2025 得獎者 | 徐斐】
針織設計師徐斐畢業於香港知專設計學院時裝及形象設計學系時裝設計高級文憑課程，目前正在香港理工大學攻讀時裝設計學位，專攻針織設計。
他的設計巧妙結合玩味、保護性與功能性，並以創新方式表達。他的畢業作品《盔甲》正正實踐了這理念。他質疑為何現代科技如此發達，但無法設計出真正能夠保護如地盤工人等工作性質危險的人的衣物。其作品將現代地盤工人服裝的元素與古代的盔甲融合，強調衣物的保護功能。另一個代表作品是可二人共穿的《連結》系列，以玩味手法探討人與人之間的關係。
未來他除了渴望繼續參加比賽，迎接新挑戰及培養多角度思考，成為一位多才多藝的時裝設計師外，更希望前往日本或韓國持續進修或工作，鑽研針織技藝和布料研究，並創立自己的品牌，幫助有需要的人。

【DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award 2025 Awardees | Tsui Fei】
Knitwear designer Tsui Fei graduated with a Higher Diploma in Fashion Design from the Hong Kong Design Institute, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, specialising in knitwear.
Tsui’s creative approach fuses playfulness, protection, and functionality, articulated through innovative techniques and thoughtful storytelling. His graduation project, ARMOR, encapsulates this design philosophy. Challenging the notion that modern technology has yet to produce truly protective garments for workers in hazardous professions such as construction, Tsui reinterpreted the idea of protection by merging elements of contemporary workwear with the form and symbolism of ancient armour—emphasising both its defensive purpose and emotional significance.
Another signature project, the Connection series, invites two people to wear a single garment together, playfully exploring the boundaries of intimacy, interaction, and human connection.
Looking ahead, Tsui aims to continue participating in design competitions, embracing new challenges, and cultivating a multidimensional mindset to become a versatile fashion designer. He hopes to further his studies or gain professional experience in Japan or South Korea, where he can refine his knitwear craftsmanship and deepen his research into textile innovation. Ultimately, he aspires to establish his own brand—one that support and empower those in need.
