In the chapter of Manifesto, “Connection” is the unseen force that breathes life into the spaces between people, craft, and community. It transcends mere structure, becoming the heartbeat of experience and understanding. Connection is the pulse that drives us to listen, to empathize, and to create with intention. When design becomes the storyteller linking the creator and the user, or when creation stitches together the fragmented hopes of a community, it forges not just resilience, but also trust and shared identity. Through these emotional bonds, we find a sense of belonging that grounds us, even as the world shifts beneath our feet.

Rather than conceiving spaces as static compositions, he considers how people feel, pause, and interact within them. Many of his works are memorable for their strong sense of identity. his work consistently integrates bold spatial concepts with meticulous control over proportion, materiality, and light. These elements converge to shape environments that are both intentional and composed, while still allowing space for emotional resonance and human presence.
Curator notes:
Gaku-san spatial language is steady and distinctive, balancing strength with subtlety, and innovation with sensitivity. Presenting his work in this exhibition offers viewers not only an opportunity to appreciate his aesthetic vocabulary, but also a chance to witness how he translates observation, experience, and imagination into spaces that inspire and shape the way we perceive and engage with the world.

2026 年賀詞交歓会を開催いたします。
今回の特別記念講演は、重要無形文化財「蒔絵」保持者（人間国宝）漆芸家の室瀬和美氏をお迎えし、JIDA 永年会員の長谷高史氏と「デザインとものづくり」をテーマに対談形式で開催いたします。講演後には皆さまとの交流の場として、レセプションパーティーの場を設けさせていただきます。皆さまのご参加をお待ちしております。

室瀬和美氏 プロフィール

1950年東京都生まれ。漆芸作家の父・室瀬春二のもとで育ち、高校時代に蒔絵の道を志す。東京藝術大学大学院（漆芸専攻）修了後、人間国宝の松田権六、田口善国に師事し、日本伝統工芸展で東京都知事賞など受賞多数。2008年、重要無形文化財「蒔絵」保持者（人間国宝）に認定、同年に紫綬褒章を受章。現在、公益社団法人日本工芸会参与。2024年、選定保存技術「漆工品修理」保持者認定。漆の魅力を国内外に発信し、V&A博物館では所蔵品調査や修復指導を20年以上続けている。

様々なキャリアを経てきた３組の設計者が、設計者としての就職活動やキャリアについて、ここでしか聴けない「ホンネの話」を引き出します。
セミナー後には、コーヒー片手にカジュアルな雰囲気の中で、デザイナーの方々に「就活用ポートフォリオ」や「進路の悩み」に対するアドバイスを直接もらうこともできます。

Situated in the heart of Tokyo’s most vibrant district, Shinjuku Gyoenmae Residence (ZOOM Shinjuku Gyoenmae) stands as a refined example of contemporary residential urbanism. Designed by the renowned firm KEY OPERATION INC. / ARCHITECTS, the building serves as a discreet mediator between the dynamic energy of Shinjuku and the expansive, historic serenity of Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.
The architectural expression is characterized by rhythmic precision. The façade features a pronounced, sculptural grid that affords residents privacy within this high-density environment, while simultaneously creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow throughout the day. Through the use of a carefully curated palette of refined, tactile materials such as exposed concrete, dark metallic accents, and glass, the architects have realized a structure that is at once grounded and ethereal.
Expansive glazing showcases the seasonal transformations of the adjacent gardens, transforming the verdant landscape into a living mural for residents. The spatial configuration is meticulously optimized for contemporary urban living, balancing efficient footprints with an airy, voluminous ambiance.
