HBA (Hirsch Bedner Associates) has been appointed by Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) to lead the interior design vision for Apgujeong District 3, one of Seoul’s most significant redevelopment projects. The project is being led by HBA Residential, the firm’s specialist design studio operating at the highest level of residential design for the world’s most discerning developers and global individuals.
Located along the Han River in Gangnam, one of Seoul’s most prestigious districts, the project represents a major transformation of a neighbourhood long associated with culture, commerce and high-end living. The landmark appointment marks a significant expansion of HBA’s global portfolio and reflects the studio’s continued exploration of how hospitality principles can shape the next generation of private residences.

「2026年京都モダン建築祭」参加のお知らせ
今年で5周年を迎える大規模建築公開イベント「京都モダン建築祭」にて、弊社が事務所を構える「石川ハウス」が特別公開されることが決定しました。
京都モダン建築祭は、2022年に文化庁京都移転記念事業として始まった、京都に現存する魅力的なモダン建築を一斉公開するプロジェクトです。会期中、パスポート公開やガイドツアーの他、モダン建築に関するさまざまな催しが京都市内各所で一斉に行われます。
石川ハウスは、旧京都アメリカンセンターとして1972年に竣工し、戦後の日米文化交流を支えました。その後、1988年からはGK京都のオフィスとして、交流の場から創造の場へと役割を変えながら空間を受け継いでいます。
コンクリート打放しのモダニズムな外観に、スキップフロアによる立体的な内部構成が重なり、ラウンジや会議室、オフィスが吹き抜けを通して連続する空間構成となっています。2023年にはオフィスをフルリノベーションし、豊かな空間を生かしながら、よりクリエイティブで開かれたオフィスへと生まれ変わりました。

【DFA Design for Asia Awards 2026】Category Award Judging
The Category Award Judging of the DFA Design for Asia Awards 2026 has successfully concluded. This year’s entries brought together a diverse collection of works from across the region, reflecting the energy and dynamism of Asian design today.
Eighteen international judges gathered in Hong Kong, each with deep expertise in their respective fields, rigorously evaluated this year’s entries across six design disciplines, including Communication Design, Digital & Motion Design, Fashion & Accessory Design, Product & Industrial Design, Spatial Design, and Service & Experience Design, witnessing the continuous creativity and breakthroughs in Asian design.
