空間デザイナー・池田励一による実験的インスタレーション。
商業施設や住空間における建築・インテリアデザイン、ディレクションを国内外で数多く手がけてきた池田が、日常のクライアントワークから意識的に距離を置き、自身の“鍛錬”と“試み”を目的として構想した作品を発表いたします。
人の暮らしの先々に起こり得る出来事や状態の前触れ、何かが始まる直前に現れる現象や感覚、自然現象や人的現象に目を留まらせ、それらが内包する気配をアウトラインとして顕在化させる試みとなり、コミュニティが発生する以前の予兆としての“INDICATION／兆し”を、あえて非継続的な場として提示し、物が存在していくことの本質を問い直す機会となります。
本展は、2026年6月に自身のスタジオにて開催された「INDICATION structure」の巡回展でありながら、未公開作を追加した今回限りの特別な構成にて作品をご覧頂けます。

Golf clubs have long been places where rituals take shape: arriving early, changing attire, spending hours outdoors, returning to the clubhouse, and sharing conversations that linger in the air. At GORA KADAN FUJI GOLF, these time-honoured practices are reimagined through a uniquely Japanese lens of retreat, with the majestic presence of Mount Fuji enhancing the experience from dawn to dusk.
This project revitalizes an established golf club situated next to the soon-to-be-completed GORA KADAN FUJI hotel, transforming the traditional clubhouse into a resort-like environment. While golf remains a focal point, the experience is elevated by the integration of natural hot springs, all-day dining, cozy fireside lounges, and luxurious suite accommodations. This thoughtful combination reflects a holistic view of leisure, where sports, hospitality, and relaxation seamlessly coexist. The most striking aspect of GORA KADAN FUJI GOLF is, without doubt, Mount Fuji itself, which is prominently visible from the site. The architecture is meticulously designed to embrace this iconic backdrop, influencing the orientation and proportions of the shared spaces. Guests are afforded numerous opportunities to engage with this landscape, which holds a significance that transcends mere tourism.
Integral to this design ethos is the Japanese concept of “ma,” which emphasizes the importance of space between elements. Rooms are thoughtfully crafted to provide visual and physical room for the changing light, weather, and seasonal colours, inviting guests to fully appreciate the dynamic character of Mount Fuji. The mountain’s appearance shifts throughout the day, sometimes standing out in sharp relief, while at other times it melds into the surrounding atmosphere.

【連載／展示会デザイナーはどうあるべきか】
学びの理由と「観察」の意味／
業界誌での連載。7月のテーマは「学びの理由」。
何かを学ぶ、ということがなぜ必要なのか。
具体的にどうすればいいのか。
今回は主に若手のデザイナーの皆さん向けに書きました。
そして、もう１つ。展示会デザイナーが自身のレベルを上げるために必要なのは、現場を観察すること。ここから様々な気づきと課題を得られます。
大学院の時代、よく仲間と共に建築を見る旅に行っていました。
有名建築を見に行っては、雑誌と同じような写真を撮って、自己満足に浸る。
今から思えば愚かなその行動を変えたのは、ある時出会った海外建築家の言葉でした。
「僕はずっと見ていた。はじめは分からなかったが、徐々に分かってきた」
この言葉がその後の自分のデザイン手法を変えました。
観察すると見えてくることがある。
今の展示会集客の手法は全て、展示会場を観察して得たものの積み重ねによるもの。

The OUGI Dining Chair takes its name from the traditional Japanese folding fan. Its subtly angled front legs allow for more natural movement, while a gentle concave detail invites touch, adding a tactile quality to its refined form.
