「新宿御苑の集合住宅｜Shinjuku Gyoemmae Residence」が、Archello Awards 2026の「Housing Project of the Year - High Rise Tower」部門でLonglistに選出されました。
新宿御苑前駅近く、外苑西通りと靖国通りが交わる三角形の敷地に建つ15階建ての集合住宅です。
都市型集合住宅のバルコニーに現れる設備機器や避難器具などを、繊細なアルミルーバーと薄い水平スラブによって包み込み、都市景観の中で統一感のあるファサードをつくることを目指しました。
Longlist選出を大変嬉しく思います。
Finalistは11月に発表予定です。

We are pleased to announce that Shinjuku Gyoemmae Residence has been selected for the Archello Awards 2026 Longlist in the “Housing Project of the Year - High Rise Tower” category.
Located on a triangular site near Shinjuku Gyoemmae Station in Tokyo, the 15-storey residential tower is defined by slender aluminium louvers and thin horizontal slabs that integrate the various functional elements of its balconies into a coherent urban façade.
We are very pleased to receive this recognition and look forward to the announcement of the finalists in November.

Founded in Tokyo in 2015 by designer Riki Watanabe, JOKE Inc. is a multidisciplinary design practice working across interior design, spatial development, branding and product design. Its approach extends beyond the visual character of a space to consider human experience, material expression and the passage of time.
Watanabe’s philosophy is rooted in the emotional capacity of design. Drawing on the universal experience of watching a sunset, he aspires to create places that resonate with people across cultural and personal boundaries. His work reflects a belief that meaningful design must unite aesthetic quality with function, while allowing materials and spaces to acquire character over time.
Through projects spanning hospitality, retail, healthcare and commercial environments, JOKE. explores the relationship between architecture, human perception and cultural value. For Watanabe, the enduring significance of design lies not only in what is created, but also in what is discovered, experienced and carried forward.

We designed the new interior design for Kappo Shimamura, a Japanese restaurant established in 1850, as part of its relocation.The new restaurant occupies a ground-floor space with direct street access at TOFROM YAESU.
Our approach centred on carrying the restaurant’s familiar character into its new home, preserving the warmth and sense of ease cultivated over generations.
The warmth of wood, the subtle texture of traditional Juraku earthen plaster, and soft light filtering through timber latticework define the space. Just as kappo cuisine brings out the inherent qualities of each ingredient, we sought to reveal the character of each material through carefully considered details.
The hinoki cypress countertop, crafted from a single slab and used for many years at the former restaurant, was relocated to the new interior. Carrying memories shared by the restaurant and its guests, it remains at the heart of the space—a place for food and conversation.
We designed the space to welcome both longtime guests and first-time visitors, carrying Shimamura’s familiar warmth and tranquillity into its new home while providing a setting for its enduring culinary traditions and hospitality.

1850年創業、割烹嶋村の移転に伴うインテリアデザインを担当しました。新店舗は、トフロム八重洲の1階に構える路面店です。
長い年月のなかで育まれてきた、嶋村らしい佇まい。その親しみと落ち着きを、新しい場所へとつなぐことを大切にしました。
木の温かみや聚楽壁の柔らかな表情、格子を通して届く穏やかな光。割烹の料理が素材の持ち味を引き出すように、空間も一つひとつの素材の表情を生かし、細部まで丁寧に整えました。
カウンターには、長年使われてきた檜の一枚板を移設。お客様と店が重ねてきた時間を受け継ぎ、新しい空間でも料理と会話を楽しむ場の中心に据えています。
長年通われてきた方にも、初めて訪れる方にも、心地よく過ごしていただけるように。受け継がれてきた味とおもてなしを支える空間として、嶋村らしい親しみと落ち着きを、新しい場所に引き継ぐことを目指しました

Aquilion Rise is the world’s first full-body, multi-position CT system capable of imaging laying down, standing, and sitting positions, enabling examination in whichever position a patient's symptoms are most visible. It was developed through an industry-academic partnership with Keio University Hospital in Japan. Years of accumulated clinical knowledge revealed that conventional CT couldn't capture conditions that for example show shifts in the spine and downward displacement of organs, conditions that are only visible when a patient is upright.
Aquilion Rise solves this as it enables early detection of conditions and injuries that worsen only when standing or sitting, supporting accurate diagnoses and better treatment. This helps extend healthy life and improve Quality of Life. Its efficient workflow, supported by camera-based imaging and AI, reduces staff workload, and ensures safe, comfortable exams.

Aquilion Rise為全球首款多體位全身電腦斷層掃描（CT）系統，支援躺卧、站立及坐姿掃描，讓患者能以最能呈現症狀的姿勢接受檢查。該系統由製造商與日本慶應義塾大學醫院透過產學合作共同研發。多年累積的臨床經驗顯示，傳統電腦掃描無法捕捉僅在人體站立時才會顯現的病況，例如脊椎移位及器官下垂等。
Aquilion Rise正好解決此問題，能及早發現僅在站立或坐下時才會惡化的病症與損傷，有助醫生作出準確診斷並制定更佳治療方案，從而延長健康壽命，提升生活質素。其結合攝影機輔助影像技術與人工智能的高效工作流程，既減輕醫護人員工作負擔，亦確保檢查過程安全舒適。
